Liberty Village BIA Unveils New Program: Bike Here!

Liberty Village BIA Unveils New Program: Bike Here!

On Monday, October 31st, the Liberty Village BIA launched a new initiative: Bike Here! Liberty Village. The program consists of 12 artistically-designed bike racks and three clusters of secure bike lockers with the objective of supporting cycling in the Liberty Village neighbourhood.

“Bike Here! is a program of the Liberty Village BIA in support of our very healthy and environmentally conscious membership, who prefer to cycle to work,” says Dan Armstrong, Chair, Liberty Village BIA. “By adding bike racks and lockers we’re making it easier for people to choose to cycle, rather than drive, as part of their commute to work.”

The lockers offer protection from theft, vandalism and weather. They can be rented through the Liberty Village BIA at a cost of $10 per month, plus a one-time $20 security deposit. Three clusters of secure bike lockers are conveniently located in the two Green P parking lots of Liberty Village and each cluster consists of five lockers.
